4 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech

Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Ziz Valley - Erg Chebbi
Early pick up at around 7:30 AM from your accommodation in Fes, heading to one of the main desert in Morocco, known as Erg Chebbi dunes, via Tizi N’Tlghomt in the Atlas Mountains, passing firstly by many small cities such as Ifrane the sky resort city and home of the famous university Al Alakhawayn then through the lush hilly lands to the famous cedar forest, home of maggot monkeys. Where you will be having a short break to take pictures while feeding the monkeys and also an optional walk to enjoy the fresh air of the forest. Continuing your Fes to Marrakech desert trip via the amazing Ziz valley through multiple cities such as Errachidia, Erfoud and Rissani also known as the old Sijilmassa; Rissani is considered the cradle of the Alaouite dynasty that rules Morocco today. It’s traditional market is the most important market in the south especially in the old days, nomads still come to shop there on specific days of the week. Proceeding the trip to one of the main Moroccan desert destinations, Erg Chebbi sand sea dunes, where you will take a camel trek to reach the camp and experience the sunset on the way to your tented camp, you will enjoy your dinner under the stars, get entertained by the camel drivers playing drums. ⇒ In your 4 days desert tour from Fes, you have the opportunity to spend two successive nights in the desert, where you can choose to spend one in the camp and the other in the Hotel at the dunes line, in winter, the days are very short so we recommend that the 1st night to be spent in the Hotel, and second in the camp this way you won’t be rushing all day from Fes to arrive at time to assist the sunset.

Day 2: Exploring Merzouga area (Erg Chebbi Dunes)
Wake up early in the morning, to enjoy the views of the sunrise over the sand dunes before you take your breakfast, ride back the camels to the Auberge at the dune line to freshen up, and then choose to leave for an off-road discovery of the surrounding villages such as Hassi Labied, Khamlia where a lot of dark skinned musicians known for their love of the Gnawa music that came originally from Sub-Saharan countries.Or relax next to the poool overlooking the dunes, alternatively you can visit the local market in Rissani and why not an hour ATV Quad biking in the dunes to end up your day. The night is spent at the hotel at the dune line.

Day 3: Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Dades - Skoura
Your will start your day by having breakfast at the hotel at the dune line, afterwards your driver will take you to the Skoura Palmary where you will be spending the 3rrd night of your Fes to Marrakech tour, passing through the Todra gorges, which is one of the most spectacular natural attractions that Morocco has to offer attracting rock climbers from all over the world. Next will be the colourful Dades valley along the road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Once you arrive to Skoura you will check in into your guesthouse hotel have dinner and spend the night.

Day 4: Skoura - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech
Your desert trip from Fes to Marrakech come close to an end, but first you will start your day by having breakfast at your hotel, then leave Skoura heading towards Ouarzazate, for a visit to the cinema sets, studios and the famous Taourirt Kasbah. Later on, you will have time to walk and explore the traditional Moroccan architecture of the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, the Kasbah that has been a stage of many glorious films that were shot there. In the afternoon you will cross the Tizi N Tichka Pass and the High Atlas Mountains to reach Marrakech where the tour ends.
